Drainage Systems for Cages - get creative!

That member hasn't been on since 2014, but you can find various kinds of light diffusers at the same home improvement chains. I use the same thing on my enclosure floor and up the walls for climbing vines & enrichment. https://www.chameleonforums.com/threads/cage-floor.185403/#post-1708756

    Husbandry check

(y)They get over it quickly enough. Some sources have said rearranging an enclosure causes stress; others say it can be enrichment. IME, it's the latter; I rearrange Ol' GrumpyPants' enclosure every few months. Not a lot—change-up a plant, move some branches around, rotate a pot or two...

This is why I can’t be left alone in a Home Depot

Exactly my train of thought 😂

Finished my last book, but I'm ready to make another...

I obtained all of my leos from CraigsList and all 3 were being kept poorly, but I wasn’t sure Kirby would even survive as he was really in bad shape. Poor little guy. Tandy has a replacement tail. I had to look it up why it looked so different.

Black Soldier Fly Nutritional value? (NOT BSFL)

I believe that most of the calcium is in the exoskeleton bound up as chitin. Would like to know the nutritional value also. They make great enrichment though

    Missus got her tank! :)

...Since we knew he's need access to nibble, we put the outer pots on the enclosure floor, and 'landscaped' around them for access, enrichment (they like to slide on their plastrons), and visual barriers so the enclosure looks bigger from his perspective. If/when something happens with a plant...

    Husbandry Advice & Review

...to nibble their plants. It only takes one nibble to cause a very serious fecal impaction/bowel obstruction. Live plants are also a huge enrichment for chameleons and one of the few ways we can provide enrichment to them. They help maintain humidity and create pockets of increased humidity if...

Cams who bask all day - is this normal!

...And whenever I do major cleaning once a week or two, I never get things put back exactly the same way they were. I see this as 'habitat enrichment'. There's (IMO) nothing quite like watching a chameleon figure out how to get where it wants to go, and then executing that path/plan. You can...

    Bioactive bearded dragon enclosure!!!!

Idk what it is but it's warped so I might have to use something else but that's ok beacause my dad said he would pay for 80$! Yay! This is really cool beacause my parents have never given me a penny towards my animals!

    Panther Chameleon diet

...He could eat hornworms, silkworms, and superworms no problem. You can get smaller hornworms and silkworms too, then once they grow too big to feed let them cocoon, then feed him the moths for enrichment. He's a growing boy and variety will be great for him! Remember treats in moderation tho.

    Face injury still not eating

I believe I have already responded to you but here is an update! I did get both wax worms and bsfl! since he is so tiny I have to cut them in half to make sure he doesnt choke! I have also found that when they are cut the open side will "stick" to his mouth and when he wants to he will lick it...

Cham climbing top of cage & acting like a daredevil

...he wanted to go/get to, studying how he was going to get there, and then executing his "climb-plan". I had inadvertently discovered that (re)moving a few branches can provide enrichment. He can get anywhere in his enclosure that he wants to, but some destinations are more challenging than...

    Aloha! New to Forum

I’m picking up crickets today and I’ll later pickup mealworms and hornworms when a breeder friend gets them :D so for gutloading just put fresh fruits and vegetables in the Cricket jar? Also my yard is treated or else I’d get bugs from there. Is getting cicadas and stuff from the woods an option...

    Propagating Scheffleras

...it's about quality. A cham might only need one big bushy plant to satisfy all its needs. Still, a variety looks nice, and can provide some enrichment. :) I admit, at first I got caught up in the whole... "How many different species of plants can I cram into that enclosure?" thang, but... I'm...
