    Soil & Gnats

...I have been told that I “can just get a bag from a local store” but I want to make sure I’m getting the right thing. The problem is that damn perlite that’s in almost all soils, even organic! On top of this, as I said earlier I have a bit of a gnat problem. In my research I came across this...

    Carly's Enclosure Upgrade

Carly likes to go inside and sleep in the plants so that might be hard. 😬 I might see how they do with the grow light since they have never had one before replacing the soil.

Cham “eating” at lay bin mixture

Yes the mixture does allow tunnels to be made and it does stick very well together. I make sure the dirt is moist always as well. Her supplement schedule changed now that she’s older. Sometimes Lily will eat two days in a row, sometimes she wants every other day and I make sure to dust crickets...

    New eggs

So weight your perlite, and add same weight of water.... (So If you add 4 grams of perlite add 4 grams of water). Make only 2 holes on lid.. Aim for 80-100% humidity... 74-77 F for temp... That's what I use for crested gecko eggs, I doubt it will be too different. Still Don't take my word and...

    Laying bin

I believe it is play sand... I have not watched it in a long time. Play sand holds a tunnel. Soil alone can collapse. Some will do a 50/50 mix as well. Just make sure it does not have the perlite in it.

    Begginer Cham Questions

...is https://chameleonacademy.com/ As for live plants, some have been proven safe for chameleons. Using an organic soil with no additives like perlite keeps your soil safe too. Most Home Depot & Lowe’s carry houseplants such as pothos and weeping fig. In some stores you may find them inside the...

What kind of soil can I use for my plants inside the enclosure?

You could try Fox Farms ocean forest mix. It’s expensive, but one of the rare soils that doesn’t have additives like perlite in it. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07VLPKXCT/?coliid=IMCNW13M4NSB5&colid=RATU5HRCLXAV&psc=1&ref_=lv_ov_lig_dp_it

Yeah that’s a good idea I was thinking about doing that with the rocks or adding more perlite?

What kind of soil can I use for my plants inside the enclosure?

Ok but will it need the stuff for drainage and will it need fertilizer other than what the isopods provide? There’s ton of rabbit pellets in my yard I could mix in. I have a black thumb so I want to do everything I can to make these plants live.

Non-stop wants to come out and eating dirt in egg box

It might be perlite or foam etc... you didn’t replant it? If you have more organic soil from the bin replant and then put it in the bin. Or wash the pothos off take out the soil and place it in the soil with the roots and all. Edit: If you can run to Home Depot and buy one of those mini pothos...
