New Jackson chameleon died looking for advice.

Hello guys I recently purchased a male rainbow Jackson chameleon from underground reptile in Florida. I'm located in Pennsylvania got the little guy overnighted 3 days ago. Unfortunately today he seems to have passed away. He was moving around fine this morning from Branch to branch and a few...

    Baby Panther Hatched!

little guy is doing well still! I caught him hanging out near his feeder ready to eat this morning. Got the pin heads today and omg they’re tiny. How long do I feed pinheads before moving up in size? I really had no idea how expensive they were. $68 for 1,000 😱 and they’re a pain to move to a...

Will not eat if it is not in my hand…

No problem. Keep in mind I don't give them water/gels because the food I give them if frozen and provides them with hydration. I'd say if you're having a lot die off.... check to make sure you're allowing them to hydrate in some way! Best of luck.

Will not eat if it is not in my hand…

I feed him grasshoppers, dubia roaches, silkworms and silk moth. I have tried BSFL and hornworms but he only look at them and turn around. I stopped the crickets because whatever I do they die so fast, though he eat crickets the same way as grasshoppers.

    Keeping crickets alive

Exact same here. It helps to get slightly smaller ones as well to make sure they are not "past their peak".

Yes, at the end of their lifespan probably. You could try 3 months, or to be safe maybe 4-5 months? I’ve never done the diapause with differentials but know people who have. One is on here occasionally @SauceGandhi Aka @feedmychameleon on Instagram. You could try reaching out to him for...

Will not eat if it is not in my hand…

This time around I only ordered 60 (but 3/4"gutloaded from Joshs Frogs). This is the first time I did that. Very easy to manage, don't think I really had any die on me yet. I received them on Friday the 8th. I still have a bunch left because I am only giving him 6-7 daily. Up until now, I...

    How best to keep crickets?

I get the same thing & have given as much ventilation as I can. Even just cleaning the bin with a moist paper towel and I find massive die off after. These are domestic crickets though. Banded crickets are so much hardier. I had zero deaths out of hundreds and the only thing I was cleaning was...

That's exactly why I hate crickets and the reason I'm trying to breed my own grasshopper colony. I just received a order of medium silkworms. They are so tiny, I need a magnifying glass to see them. It will be three weeks before I can feed them off. I feel like I'm at the mercy of these sellers

Will not eat if it is not in my hand…

What exactly are you using in the cage and how do you have it set up? Can you take a picture? This issue with them only hand feeding while young is that they need to take down a ton of feeders every day. Also as they mature if they learn that this is how they eat it will make it extremely hard...

Haha it’s def the love of the chams. I’m fascinated by bugs but don’t really like touching them except for certain things but yeah the grasshoppers I’m using tongs same for crickets haha I don’t like jumping bugs. Or spiders but I’ll be the first to take one outside instead of killing one ok...

    I’m breeding crickets

My crickets stay alive for the entire lifespan. They die of old age. With proper temperature ventilation and good diet that contains leafy greens and some carrots plus I put a little high calcium flukers dry feed and clear water cubes for hydration. I can post a picture of everything I use it...

    Please Review my Husbandry...Thanks.

Awesome to all! *Keep a bin of about 1,000 crickets and then see how your wife feels about the roaches! Lol 😂 😂 Lawd, they are stinky nasty ickies! I’ve found I have success with silkies at certain times of year. From around October thru March, they tend to all die off. I haven’t needed to...

Crickets gut loading great on our feeder fuel / fruits and veggies 💪🏼.

Hi ! So I’m currently trying to figure out how to get my chammie to eat because she’s a baby and still new to her enclosure. I don’t want to leave the crickets inside In case they die , eat her, or get loose in my room. Is there a helpful video or maybe a demonstration you know that could help...

Panther Cham not eating crickets from feeder.

Make sure you clean your crickets out often. I believe that is kind of important because they can be pretty dirty. Especially if you have any dying. I completely move them from 1 cage to another, clean the 1st cage out, and then kind of go back and forth. Every few days or so. At the very...

Camiezone babies from Homer and Big Girl

That's my point and outlook. Grasshoppers live a long time, require little care, no water, no smell, no cleaning, 1 hopper = 2 or 3 crickets depending on its size. If you add gas (3 trips a week to feeder store), your cricket price increases.

    Keeping crickets alive

No problem. Try to keep the food less. you just want to give them enough for them all to get a little something each night. They have a tendency to start cocooning once they feel they've had 'enough' food. I believe it depends on the environment as well. But yeah since I've done it like...

Crickets gut loading great on our feeder fuel / fruits and veggies 💪🏼.

Well they are insectivorous so you will have to offer her feeders either free range or in a feeder cup type system. As far as the feeders dying well technically that shouldn’t be an issue as you should be feeding healthy lively feeders to her that she will consume way before they die. As far as...
