    Rango’s Casque

...let me know and I’ll post pics and explain how I did it. To cut this a bit short, (not feeling so great) I would get rid of the English ivy, which is toxic. Most ivies are, and since veiled chams eat their plants, I advise getting any. There are lots of beautiful plants that are great for...

    Safe plant or not?

I think Steve meant he wouldn't feel comfortable using one with a Veiled. English ivy is a no no with Veileds it can be toxic if ingested.

    Safe plant or not?

If that is a English Ivy I have one in one of my brevicornes enclosures but they aren't known as a leaf muncher. I would feel comfortable using one in a enclosure for a Veiled.

I believe English Ivy is on the toxic list. Other than that, I'd like to see how this goes for you!

...it. I have two humidity monitors on the side of his tank (inside). Plants - Are you using live plants? If so, what kind? / Pothos and English Ivy. There are small clusters of (non-toxic) fake plants, but I try not to add too much in case Rango is drawn to them. Placement - Where is your cage...

Thank you for that. I will double check that and if so, it will be a plant for my classroom instead. 😉

    Plant suggestion?!

I would forgo the English Ivy for a veiled chameleon. https://www.chameleonforums.com/threads/english-ivy.62834/ https://www.chameleonforums.com/threads/english-ivy.40363/ but feel free to explore the archives further. I had one in with my panther, but took it out in favor of some safer choices...

    Exo terra vines?

In case you're thinking about it, I had an English Ivy in my enclosure for awhile, then removed it. https://www.chameleonforums.com/search/1453256/?q=english+ivy&c[title_only]=1&o=relevance

    Exo terra vines?

Yeah I couldn’t find a straight answer on if it was safe so I didn’t. I don’t know if it’d fit with the theme either

Ok thanks klyde o scope. I won’t put the English Ivy in then. I will add the dorado plant.

    Plant suggestion?!

Monstera is a good one but the grow super fast! It may out grow that cage pretty quickly. I also suggest any vining plants like Pothos or English ivy, I wrap the vines up around branches so mine can hide behind the leaves. I have a 4ft tall cage so I added an old locker stand to make some plants...

...say it gives my classroom a "home-y" feeling. I have 2 hanging succulent baskets, 3 hanging pothos, a Draceana, an Umbrella tree, a Bromelaid, a money tree, a pot of African Daisies, and 2 Croton plants. Now, I guess I will be adding an English Ivy to the bunch since it is not safe for Chams...

The dorado plant is a dracaena, and IIRC, most dracanas are fine. I'm not sure about California fan ivy (a.k.a. English Ivy); I had one for a while, but I couldn't get a definitive answer so I removed it. It wasn't doing spectacularly anyway. Here's an archive search.
