Screen type?

Hey, I've been gathering supplies to build an enclosure for a small veiled i plan on getting in a few months. I've been searching for what people say about mesh sizes and have heard that smaller mesh causes nail problems, though i can't find anything at HomeDepot that's around 1/8" mesh. Is that a good size for a cham? Also, should it be fiberglass or aluminum? Any brand or store reccomendations? Thanks for the help.

I've seen people use the aluminum and 'pet screen' from Home Depot. I think most of the cages you can buy use something similar. There is also 'hardware cloth' available at the depot over by the vents and A/C stuff. This is much larger about 1/4 or so, but if you're worried about your cham's nails, then this should do the trick (no tiny feeders though).

Cheers, Matt

Thanks for the reply, I went to lowes the other day and didn't find any 1/8" mesh, ill probably be ordering online then. Does anyone know if the 1/8" mesh can hold pinheads for a baby veiled?

1/8" mesh may not hold them. piheads are aweful small. i believe the 1/16" is the standar baby cage and most peolpe are usuing aluminum screen to keek food from eating on thru

good luck

Sean
