Reptibreeze 24x24x48 and Monsoon

I just bought a monsoon and I also have a reptibreeze 24x24x48. The reptibreeze does not have any small holes where I can put the monsoon tubes through to the inside of the cage. What do others with the same cage and misting system do for this? Should I cut a hole in the cage? Also, should I use distilled water, purified water or is tap water okay?

Just take a knife and like, make one hole on the mesh bigger. Do NOT cut any. Twist the mesh... gahhh... hard to explain

i have the same cage. Different mist system but same type of hoses. i just used a pencil to make holes in the side of the screen

This issue is exactly why I invented the AquaZamp RainDome :)

I was loaned a cage I could not cut a hole in the screen as it was not my cage. The owner told me specifically not to cut the screen........

In this photo you can see the LowProfile RainDome in use on the same size cage you have (Sorry for a dark photo, center of cage, black rectangle). The RainDome doesn't take up much space and just sits on top of the screen without having to modify the cage in any way. The footprint is only 4.5" x 12.5".

The AquaZamp RainDomes and misting nozzles are compatible with your Monsoon.

i took a deli cup,
you may have one laying around from a recent online purchase:D
made a hole just big enough for the tube to slip through,
fed the tube through,
connected the nozzle to the tube,
pulled the tube from the outside to get the nozzle at what would be the bottom,
then set the deli cup on the cage,
it will concentrate the mist in a small area,
really creates a rain cup instead of a dome

in my case an old gelato pint is my preferred cup:p

I have the monsoon. I place the nozzle in the position I want it spray then feed a piece of wire up thru the screen to keep it in place.
