I'm also setting up cages for some potential wc chams from Madagascar (that I don't have yet). Hopefully, I can snag some up whenever the next Madagascar import comes in. Species is a secret until I get them.

Oh yeah, and I have a midterm tomorrow. Ain't no rest for the wicked...

Okay, sure, I'm done for now. I'll stop ranting.

Nobody into small green toads? Wowow, I see how it is. Non-scaly friends are not welcome here, is that it? Well, I hate to break it to you that you are a human being with no scales! Do you not like yourself? Hmm? Is that it? Projecting your own self-hate onto small green toads...shame on you!

I've seen low, but this is new.

I have to say. I am very disappointed. I have toadally lost faith in humanity.

Damn, that pun was awful--just like your taste in amphibians.

I'm here all day folks.

They are gorgeous! I've only ever kept African clawed frogs. I was looking into some different species of toads and frogs, and you seem to like them, got any suggestions? Ideally not fully aquatic, I don't have it in me to take on an additional aquarium (not my area of expertise).

I ended up cancelling my order for the balios due to unforeseen circumstances in my own life. However, Nick Stacey has some Atelopus balios and Atelopus barbotini (the Purple toad) tadpoles that should be ready for sale in the fall of this year. Hopefully I will be able to get some toads from him then! If you feel patient, you could wait for either of those to become available.

Some semi-terrestrial newts, though that might require an aquarium. I've always wanted some reticulated glass frogs as well (Hyalinobatrachium valerioi). Nick Stacey also happens to have tadpoles of those right now. Should probably be available sooner than the Atelopus. I think @redhorse will have some excellent suggestions for you! He has some yellow-spotted climbing toads which seem super cool!

Smooth-sided toads seem pretty cool as well. Terrestrial but get kind of large. Very cool looking!

I will look into it! Thanks for the reply, sorry you weren't able to get the toads you wanted. I'll ask @redhorse as well when I get the chance.

You are totally welcome! I was still able to get some other animals (pygmy chameleons and a pair of canopy chameleons) so it wasn't a total loss. And sounds good!

Out of curiosity, what animals do you currently own?

One male Jackson's chameleon (xantholophus), two female Brookesia superciliaris (pygmy chameleons--going to get a male soon), a pair of Furcifer willsii (Canopy chameleon)Chameleon, and one male Uroplatus Phantasticus (Satanic Leaf-Tailed Gecko). I plan on getting more animals once I optimize my current setup.

For my smaller species, I'm looking at Leap Habitat terrariums that fit super nicely on Baker's racks (wire shelving racks). Once I get that set up, and have cages stacked vertically on shelves, I'll expand my pygmy chameleon and willsii breeding projects.

Definitely check out Leap Habitats if you haven't already. Cages should be available next month or so. Cheaper than all glass terrariums. And are way more optimized.
