New Kinyongia multituberculata clutch

I got home from work tonight and dug out my 2nd Kinyongia multituberculata clutch. 8 more to go with the 6 from 2 1/2 months ago. There were 7 in the 1st clutch, but unfortunatly I lost one for reasons unknown.

WTF? Those were just laid? They are gigantic. Why do you keep getting small numbers of huge eggs? I'd greatly prefer that. Jealousy aside, congrats.
 
Good job Justin, i assume mine are out of the first clutch? How long until thet hatch? By then you will have forgotten all about me.:rolleyes:

The 6 on the left are the ones from August and yes, they are certainly bigger. The right hand side are the new ones, but now I have something to compare the first clutch to, and I can clearly see a size difference. How do I keep getting small numbers of large eggs you ask?,,, The same way I got the big boy in the 'Kinyongia Catch!!!' thread so big,,..... STEROIDS!!!! :) :D Thanks for the congrats Louis, I'm stoked and I owe it all to you and jrh3.

Those new eggs are way bigger than my average new egg. It is like the same total mass of egg material in a clutch just mine are like half the size. Can you put a penny in there for size comparison?
 
Keep poppin them out man, lookin good. Those males you got were supposed to be WC TLC so maybe the size is due to new bloodline>?
 
What is TLC? I still feel like those eggs are big. I mean if she is making such a small number it makes sense that they would be a bit bigger. Now the question is what are you doing that makes her produce so few eggs! Her sister has only made one clutch (it failed) and there were about 15 eggs.

BTW your girl and the one I mention above are all that is left of my bloodline "D" on this earth (as far as I know).

I feel like it is probablly due to the fact that she does seem to be a bit on the smaller side to some other pictures of females that I have seen. You see below, she is only a slight bit more than 3" snout to vent.

Congrats on another clutch. I too wish i knew how you produce small clutches. I hope my future ones are that small.

She is a nice looking girl.

LTC is Long Term Captive, again it could be her diet also. Being in the south she is fed Soul Food, lol.
