i've noticed for the past day my veiled chameleon Gregory has been at the bottom of his cage near his plant roots and not high up, any reason to why he's on the ground hiding?

I could be wrong, but he might have MBD because they start feeling bad and just dont have the energy to climb
anyone correct me if I'm wrong

bein gon the bottom does not mean MBD.
it could just mean his temps are too hot.
what is his basking temp? a

and are you sure its a male?

What is MBD? He had atleast ten mealworms today a couple of hours ago. When I get him out of his cage he crawls all over me. So i'm not sure what it could be.

MBD is metabolic bone disease.
It can be caused from a lack of proper nutrients, mainly, calcium,
it causes breaks, the appearnce of extra joints, soft jaw, shaky gait, falling, grabbing own limbs.

Cna you post a photo of your set up pleae?
and tell em about your husbandry, feeding, lights, temps, etc. etc.

Metebolic* bone* Disease* lack of calcium results in bendy legs and a poorly or dead chameleon.....

OK. this is whats going on.
your care is way way way off.
feeding- no more mealworms... these are not healthy, these are treats only.
crickets are a daily feeder.
learn about gutloading. read these links, use these ingredients, as many as yuo can find.

Supplements- you need a calcium without d3 for every feeding, a calcium with d3 twice a month, multivitamin twice a month.
these are all powders- you dust them on your crickets.

your cage is wrong.. this needs to be corrrected. NOW!
please get a 24inx24inx48in screen cage.. many of our site sponsors sell them.

Where is your UVB bulb?
reptiglo or reptisun 5.0 is needed.

You need to make these corrections asap or your cham will get sick.
no supplements and no uvb leads to MBD, and that untreated will kill your chameleon.

Hey guys, likesrain either ignored/missed your advice and started a new thread asking about how to increase humidity... I called them out on it but am worried he or she either didn't see your responses or is ignoring them.
