Yeah, I’ve been to this vet several times, with chameleons from the pet store I work at, but they’re usually much younger and worse off. I think I remember them prescribing an eye drop called ciproflaxin. I just want my buddy to feel better :/

He has been rubbing it on the vines n things in the terrarium. It’s really been worrying me.

I got the vet appointment set up. I mean, I’m 20 years old and I can do these things by myself but I’m also a student and fronting the costs can be a pain in the butt. My mom ultimately told me to use my best judgement.

He was definitely drinking, but his eyes are still sunken in.

It’s just so weird to think he isn’t drinking. His mist king goes off every hour. I would think he would know to drink if he were dehydrated.

The one that’s currently on the floor of his cage is yellow orange, but I remember the other day it was pearly white.

After the bath, he’s moving his eye and it almost looks like a convulsion, as if to push something out from underneath his eyelid. Because he’s been a happy and healthy chameleon up until this point I’m really hoping it’s just some eyelid shed

Edit: I did find poop, it looks like a healthy color of poop, hiding behind a leaf

How does one do that?

My family thinks it’s just a bad shed that’s affecting his eye because he has skin hanging off his nostril. Any words of advice to hopefully change their minds?

Thank you! I pretty much just pull the crickets straight from the bin at work, and that’s what we’re feeding them there. Don’t have too much control in a corporate world. I’m trying to convince my family to take him to the vet, they are skeptical, but I’ll definitely bring this stuff up to them.
