I took my chameleon out today and after a minute or so he opened his mouth up as if he was mad. But no color change and he didn't bulk himself up. What does this mean? Is it a sign of hunger perhaps?

yes tempts and humidity are fine. The crickets will be gone by the end of the day so i know hes eating, just not in front of me.
