I am totally grossed out by superworms and use tweezers to put them in the feeding cup. Crickets are pretty non-threatening to me, but if one walks on me it does gross me out a little. One time I woke up to one walking on my face! I won't actually touch any other types of worms, butter and...

My chameleon pooped in his feeding dish once, so I put a new one in and he continued to poop in the old one, like a toilet. It was pretty handy for cleanup!:D

I definitely use the water for my houseplants, but I would be leery of using it on veggies that I would eventually eat. Organic fertilizers are usually broken down materials whereas chameleon poo water would be just chameleon poo water. But, I am a mild germ-o-phobe, so you can take what I...

I felt the same way about Veiled Chams, but now I have one and I am glad I do! He is a total contrast to my panther chameleon (rip). They can be quite beautiful, too!

I think many people on this board can attest to the fact that each chameleon has a different personality, regardless of the species. Some have super nice Veiled Chams, some have agressive Panthers. So, it is possible one of your chameleons is more laid back than the other.

I was definitely thinking a shower would do him some good :) And I do have a reptisun 5.0 from my previous chameleon still, so I will be using that. It's only about 2-3 months old so I have a few more months I can get out of it. Thanks Guys! I will post pictures of him post-shower on sunday

:confused: When they puff up and their chins puff out? My vet called it a beard... I saw that you took your cham to the vet, but didn't read that you got a second opinion, thats why i suggested. I'm not criticizing... Anyway, Good luck with figuring this out!

I am not a vet, but the area looks like the back/bottom of his throat. I think you mentioned when he would open his mouth before, that it would be a big gaping hole. When they gape on their own, they also stretch out their beards. Maybe since you are forcing his mouth open, he is not stretching...
