Storm Preparations... What You Need to do for Your Pets...

This is Schmameleon :ROFLMAO: he was hatched in October and survived a huge earthquake in Alaska that took our power out for hours, his first day home. He is a TROOPER  he's developing some gorgeous gold colors, and also looks pretty cool when he's miffed at my camera LOL.. I left his cage...

When do baby veileds start to develop colors?

I got this guy at the end of November, he was about 5/6 weeks old. Hes just now starting to display more than the green lizard look. You can probably tell which are his upset colors and which are his happy ones, lol.. He doesn't like my camera when hes in his cage

I happened across a thing on pinterest that said you could try a red clay planters pot, and turn it upside down over a wet sponge. Anyone think this would work?

Would a bird cage be a viable option for housing a chameleon?

I had this thought too, and then realized the crickets could get out easily lol

    Quirks?

-sometimes i leave his cage door open with the cricket box right in front of it so he can crawl down and watch them. When we're down to 5 or 6 i open it and let him go crazy from the top..He really seems to enjoy it lol -is spooked by my black nails -doesn't seem to mind my pit/boxer mix...

I got my nails done and the tips are black.. My cham does NOT like them! I'm going to change them to green :D but for now i try to put my hands in his cage palm up if i have to. Its a little funny haha

Probably Will Sell chameleon due to not being able to care for her

Oh poor babe.. You can see how skinny she is. While i understand your hesitation to let go, it would be the very best thing for her at this point. I think posting here was a great start, where are you located??
