The tray is vacuum formed out of ABS plastic. If you have limited wood working skills, you could cut 2 pieces of MDF (medium density particle board availible at Home Depot or Lowes) and glue them together to make a mold to vacuum form over. You could even have Home Depot cut it for you if...
