Okay so I have been hounding my boyfriend for a chameleon and I have been researching them up and down and all around. I have had bearded dragons, turtles, frogs, geckos, so this is not my first herp. Anyways, I have read and seen (in pics) that people handle their chams, and just like any other...
I have changed everything now... haha
Okay so I just got a nosy be and he will be here in 30 days so they are larger and I figured I would need a bigger enclosure. My boyfriend also is really into building it so how does this sound plexi glass on the back (I live in WA and it colder here) and...
Thats funny that you said that because I just started a thread about buying them in bulk and got some very good responses. Thanks so much. My boyfriend is way into building the cage so he has been researching that. I decided to put plexiglass on the backside (since I live in WA and it is colder...
This is random, but I was on craigslist the other day and their was a cham for sale, a veiled named skittles as well... any chance he was shipped from WA??? weird coincidence :-)
Thank you for that info. I am new at this, infact I haven't even gotten my cham yet. I am just preparing myself beforehand since they are one of the harder herps to take care of.
Amazing
WOW, after seeing those pics I went straight to chameleonparadise.com to checkout their chams available. I just emailed the guy, their are some available now but this will be his last clutch of 2011...so I hope I can get one!
Does the water have to be a certain temperature? How often should my cham be misted, and does it depend on the species? I also read that you can put them in the shower... does this count as misting, and is this really recommended or is it just depending on your cham and if he/she likes it? Does...
thanks
THanks! Seripously I was so worried because I have figured out all the other expenses, and I called petco to ask about the price of feeders and I was really bummed out because Im so excited to get a cham. but I want to be ready, and research a lot more so I'm not overwhelmed with things...
I was at petco the other day and I asked about the crickets and they told me that they were 13 cents a piece for any size gutloaded and dusted. I thought that the price was a little on the expensive side, so I was wondering if there was any way I could buy them in bukl, online maybe?
Is this what you are talking abuot? Cuz his feet are what I noticed cuz they are very different from any cham ive seen

Here is everything you need to know about building this cage with step by step pics. Its by far the most cost efficient way to build a cage and it looks pretty nice and its really practical, especially for babies and smaller breed( you could also just enlarge all the supplies to make it bigger...
That sounds great! That was kinda the general idea I had when I said pebbles.. I definitely would never use anything small enough for my cham to digest.
Very Easy Inexpesive great cage to build
4 ft Tall, 17 in. wide tube cage
* Easy to clean, very mobile, and inexpensive to make! *
Materials: All available at your local hardware store
- 4 ft. wide, 57" long piece of quarter-inch hardware cloth (preferably the plastic coated variety...
Yes of course. I have done my research. It will be made with 4 ft. wide, 57 in-long piece of 1/4 in. hardwire cloth (the plastic coated variety so its safer for my cham), 2 plastic plant water saucers (17" diameter), hog rings and clear silicone caulking to attatch the hardwire to the saucers...
