    Juvenile Veiled acting strange.

I agree as I am learning. And in no way claim to be expert. I’m simply listening to a exotic reptile vet. I have watched chameleon academy videos and will continue to do so. I am certainly not wanting to steer anyone in the wrong direction. I’ll take what you’ve said into consideration. Thank...

    Juvenile Veiled acting strange.

I’ve learned that the basking light was completely wrong over this past week. Vet says at his age the uvb could be 10.0 until older juvenile stage. And the basking light should be 100w and at least 6” away for a warming temp of 84. She has chameleons of her own and shared her experiences. Both...

That was chopped up for the feeder insects. They latched on and fed. However I don’t do this anymore - inside his cage that is. Thanks for the feedback though

What other animals have you/do you keep?

Unsure. I’ll have to ask him.

    Juvenile Veiled acting strange.

Sorry I keep dipping in. But I just read a reply @FlickBoy gave me yesterday. Not to over do it with wax worms. They are meant as treats. I’m going to focus on crickets 🦗 and the occasional fly (as I catch them- I live in Florida. All you gotta do is go outside and put your cup down. So… I’ve...

I forgot to add that I keep air flow going. Not blowing anything around but ‘juuuuust enough’ I basically treat his cage environment exactly the way I treat my orchids. 🌤☔️ 🌬🦎🌺

What other animals have you/do you keep?

I had an green iguana years ago. Any and all pics are old school - so I don’t have digital downloads. Plus they’re most likely lost in time by now. My dad has two tortoises named Laverne and Shirley. I’m not sure of their breed but I’ll attach pics. I visited him last year when they were just...

    Juvenile Veiled acting strange.

His eyes aren’t only closed they are receding/sunken in. 😟 I’m new to this myself. But the research I’ve done says not to over do it with supplements. And I had to change my lighting system from what the ReptiBreeze kit came with, to a 5.0 tropical uvb tube. I did keep the blue heating bulb...

    Baby panther chameleon

My little guy seems to like wax worms over mealy worms. Maybe because they are softer (?) I think yours is old enough for a wax worm.

    New to Chams..started with hatchlings

Everyone is already given great advice. So I don’t need to say much else except research - research - research. I looked into a lot of exotic veterinarian articles as well as internet forums such as this one for various info. Moved on to YouTube videos. Which were very helpful. I have his first...

    Easy plants for chameleons

I'm glad I came across your post. I almost bought a polka dot begonia and a money tree the other day. I will now add those to my pothos and wandering jew. Thank you for posting this important info, I appreciate it.
