1.5 year old Male Veiled Cham

I have received a couple PMs from people wanting to ship. I will consider them, but would really prefer not to ship as I am providing the entire established setup as well. I will have to wait and see. Thanks!

1.5 year old Male Veiled Cham

Howdy, As much as I hate to do it, I have finally decided I need to let my cham go. I no longer have the time to give him to be sure he is 100% taken care of. I'm not worried about selling, but am asking a 50.00 re-homing fee to be sure whoever gets him is serious. No shipping, I'm...

    Urgent

What kind of Cham? What age? I looked in your gallery but didn't see anything. I couldn't imagine any of the larger cham species lasting long on flies... I wouldn't think they would be big enough?

    Emergency Help!!! ((off Topic))

Have you let your parents know? I would start there and let them work on it. Most companies will only share information with a person on an account. When you say she is 14 I would have to guess that either your parents are on the account or at the minimum co-signed as someone 14 can't legally...

    Reptisun 5.0 Bulb

I hope you are talking about the tube, right? I went to Lowes and bought a 24" fixture, then bought the cord in order to adapt it to a plug. Most of the fixtures only have the 2 naked wires coming out because they are typically wired into the electrical system for a switch, not a plug...

    Ideal cage w/drainage

Ok, after a little bit of web surfing I found this web site: Dog Crate Trays. Pay attention to the L x W (the H is the H of the cage and that is irrelevent in this case). Those trays are only 4.99 plus shipping. They are designed to be walked on by dogs, so it is really hard plastic...

    Ideal cage w/drainage

Along with my chams I also have 2 dogs... well, rescued a new one 1 week ago. I noticed right away that the new one really liked to be in small spaces and realized that he has been in a crate since day one and felt out of place without having a place to escape to. Why do I mention this...

    Cage Design - Mark.I :)

I have no specific experience with it, but I have heard that aluminum mesh will let the most amount of UVB through. A lot of us use the same screen and have the UVB tube on top of the screen without a problem. I understand wanting to do the best thing posible for the cham's survival but this...

My new enclosure for my new Ambilobe male.

Be carefull with that mesh. I bought the same stuff to make my cage and change my mind because I like to lay the lights pretty close to the top of the cage. That mesh is pure plastic and will melt VERY quickly if the light is close to it and then you'll have a big hole where the cham can get...

    Outdoor Humidity

If you are keeping up the misting schedule then I wouldn't worry if your humidity drops to 20% between mistings. The big thing is to be sure the cham is getting enough water to drink which it sounds like that is possible. I would assume that in CA the humidity is naturally lower than the...

    Cage Design - Mark.I :)

I would recommend you put the UVB tube outside as well. My biggest concern would be the misting water hitting the tube. There is no real good reason for it to be inside while there can be several for going against having it on the inside. I think just about everyone does have it on the...

How do you guys feed your chameleon? and what do u feed them?

Free roaming works well if you have a cage were the crix don't get out (in mine, they can). In addition to the method mentioned above about the hole cut in the lid, you can also get a 1/2 gallon milk jug, cut off 2 sides then glue screen on the inside. You may still have some escape but most...

Are silkworms able to be gutloaded?

Not only will they only eat the silkworm chow or mulberry leaves, if you feed them anything else they won't be able to complete their life cycle properly and might not live as long...

So I've took him to the vet today...

I would recommend a very long misting session. 20-25 mintues if you can handle that. I think that a 4-5 month old may be a little young for a shower. It may just be something stuck in the eye and the water (misting) can really help a lot.
