This has appeared on my chameleons casque very suddenly. Half of his casque looks smooth/ without “scales “ and with a weird red spot/scab. It has appeared suddenly and I haven’t changed anything husbandry related in over a year. What could it be ? Thanks

HI ! So I just brought home a new 4 months old veiled . He seems terrified of me so I just let him be alone and do not go near the cage . However today a gave him food and water and as soon as he saw me he ran to the bottom of the cage and is hidding behind a plant pot . He seems kinda pale too...
