I bought the fogger because I was going to be gone for long periods during the day at the time and wanted to be able to provide some moisture while I wasn't there to hand mist. I also thought that it would do a better job of raising my humidity than it actually did. But, I think the problem...

While I was waiting for my Mistking system to arrive, I purchased the Zoo Med fogger off of Amazon for $48. It works fine but I find that since the MistKing arrived, I rarely turn on the fogger. My veiled is not a fan of the fog (or the mist for that matter). It does look kinda cool though...

As soon as the water is atomized into mist all of the energy (heat) from the warm water is almost instantly released into the air. I have tried hand misting with warm water but even those bigger droplets seem to cool before they hit the surface.

Yep, I don't think there is a clear cut answer to those questions...Day's, Hours, weeks...it all depends on the exact contaminates introduced, temperature and other variables. Like most things in this hobby we just try to do the best we can for the critters and leave as little as possible to...

I think that is pretty normal. My Veiled does the same thing. I am hoping that he will adjust to the misting system and learn to enjoy it but for now I supplement with the dripper.

I think that the biggest concern with water standing in the cage bottom is that it will mix with feces, dirt, dust, bugs (drowned) and anything else that falls down there, creating the so called "poop soup". That is a breeding ground for nasties. The reservoirs that store the unused water...

I'm not familiar with DIY but Dragon Strand is GREAT!! The ledges are worth their weight in gold. I have the large Keeper cage and I went with the Drip Easy Drainage System to go along with it. Love, love , love it!!

I have both the big and little drippers. If you plan on resting the dripper on top of a screen cage, I would recommend the little dripper due to the weight of a full container on the screen. Both will easily last for an hour or more unless you have the water pouring out.

That is approximately the same schedule that I am currently using, however take a quick look at the "Intruders: bugs and mold" posting in the general discussion forum. I may adjust my schedule, just to make sure that everything has a chance to dry out.

Tough to say. I bought my set up off of Craigslist and I feel pretty lucky that my cham ended up being fairly healthy. You never know what sort of problems you may be inheriting. One thing for sure...be prepared to dump more money into the process. It sounds like the lighting needs immediate...

I used the wedges and would highly recommend them if you have a screen cage. They are inexpensive to include with your original order but shipping is expensive if you decide that you want them later. The same can be said for an extra nozzle. I wish I had ordered an extra one with a T fixture...

Dragon Ledges from Dragon Strand are the way to go!! Cost a little bit of money but saves your screen and gives you a good clean look. I used tree branches as well and with the ledges it makes it easy to hang plants too. You don't have to buy the entire set up, you can buy the ledges to add...
