You can get some ficus plants at places like Home Depot pretty cheaply. Just make sure to get rid of the soil it comes in, I just hose it all off outside on the lawn, then repot with fresh soil.
Also, home depot has some great bamboo "stakes" in the garden center. You can buy a long stick...
I get mine from: http://www.blackjungle.com/home.htm. They're pretty fast with delivery. Unfortunately, I do not have any fruit flies at the moment myself.
Here's a couple of my favorites that I've used and would recommend:
For Silkies and Hornworms: http://www.coastalsilkworms.com
For Crickets and Superworms: http://www.premiumcrickets.com
For Phoenix worms and Fruitflies: http://www.blackjungle.com/home.htm
I would stay away from...
Yeah I tried one time to order from Wormman and a month later still no delivery. I finally started to email them daily and eventually did get my refund.
Never again would I try using them.
Hornworm Pods are now available at Coastal Silkworms if anyone is interested.
Each pod contains 12+ hornworms and enough food to grow them to full size at over 3" long and the cost is $9.98 per pod.
I might have to give them a try now that I can get them locally and I like the pod idea...
I just use a pair of wooden bamboo tongs I bought from a pet store. They also have some metal ones in various sizes. I just pick up the worms, toss them in a plastic cup, shake the calcium and vitamins on them, then pick them up and put them in my chameleon's feeding cup.
