Thanks again for your detailed response! I've got some insect mesh to act as a barrier? Hopefully that would be sufficient? Also I had some driftwood in there (bought from a pet store) a little while ago, but discovered that whilst cleaning her our that mold had grown on some of it? How do I...
That's incredible! What a lovely tank! And such a great idea too! So am I right in saying that this method will collect all the excess water pooling at the bottom? I'm going to have to must her slot to keep humidity up and that's my main worry! How do you siphon the water? What do the hydro...
Hi all,
I'm looking at creating a bio enclosure for my Elliots Chameleon. Trouble is that her enclosure is all glass apart from the top which is screen.
Wondered how people are dealing with this? I don't really want to drill into the tank either...

Right okay, what if she gets too hot? I'm not sure Elliots Chameleons can hack too much heat? Also if I get the UV linear fixture it will cover the whole of the top of the cage with both the Exo Terra compact and the UV fixture if that makes sense?
Right, so that's the UV sorted, what about her heat bulb? Sorry for all the questions. Want to make sure I'm getting this right. I really appreciate everyone's help
Excellent! Thank you, since my heat lamp is a screw in will it work with a dome? I read that with Elliots Chameleons they don't really want to be living over 20c?
I see,
Because currently my two bulbs are those screw ones that are in a compact Evo Terra lid thing. So I don't think that heat lamp would work on the new linear?
Thank you all for your help, you've all been amazing! So does this mean i will need a new hood as well to fit the linear bulb in? Sorry for the silly questions. Want to get this right
Thank you both for your help!
I put a little tub of substrate at the bottom so she has somewhere to lay if need be. But shes not taken any notice... Any ideas on her colourings? The green blotches?
Hi Lennoncham,
I've attached a few more photos two of her and one of the bulb itself. She has green blotches on her now? I saw her drinking and she ate a cricket earlier. Is it vet time? Can anyone recommend a good vet in Essex?
Your Chameleon - Elliots Chameleon, female and 8 months old. I've had her for 3 months
