Thought I would share a video with you all of my panther eating a hornworm: link to video You can see him hesitating once or twice before he really goes for it - he doesn't like my phone :P

    sick panther chameleon

If you're sure he has a skin problem, your best bet is to have it checked by a vet if you don't have previous experience.... Pic, though?

Freaking out, I think he ate a fake leaf

O_O Yeah I really hope you're right. I'm looking inside the cage (there are a lot of plants in there) and trying to find the leaf....no sign of it so far -_-

Freaking out, I think he ate a fake leaf

So...last week I made one of these leaf dripper things with a silk material fake leaf...because my chameleon wasn't drinking enough water. I was so happy that he took to it and it worked....up till yesterday. This morning I noticed the leaf I glued on...is gone! and I THINK HE ATE IT. If...

    Escaped Bugs?

I wouldn't worry too much about the super worms and mealworms, they can turn into beetles and you can breed them or feed them :) but the crickets can be a right pain. I've been using small sticky traps for my apartment (not in the cage) and they've worked quite well. They're poison free. If...

Anyone here have pet insurance for their cham(s)?

That's awesome. I've been considering getting insurance for my chameleon, but wasn't sure if it was an absurd idea...would you be willing to tell me what rate you have?

    Bug Burger

I use bug burger as a staple food currently. I will throw in extra vegetables and fruits though. Has anyone here tried mixing say, bug burger and cricket crack together to make the jello food for their feeders? is that even a good idea?

Should I keep a snake and a chameleon in the same room

As long as you have those visual barriers you mentioned, whatever they are, you should be fine! I have a snake and a cham too! They're in different rooms though because my chams free range area is in the same room as his cage, and it wouldn't be convenient in my case to make sure the cham...

Finally set up a free range (connectable to cage) for Skittles!

Yup he could reach the edge of the tub so I will definitely keep an eye on him when he's out and about. I'm glad he's spending less time on the mesh though, he was breaking his own nails sometimes :(

Finally set up a free range (connectable to cage) for Skittles!

...and I think he likes it a lot :D ^ click to enlarge I picked up a ficus tree at a local greenhouse - the trunk is braided loosely so I could easily link it up to one of the vines in the cage. Next to it is a hibiscus and they're both sitting in a tub I got at Lowe's. I noticed that he...
