the best thing to do is keep an eye out for someone selling their entire dubia colony. you shouldn't have to pay more than a couple hundred dollars. that's what i did and i ended up w/ everything i needed. the reason i say to do it this is bc if you buy let's say 1000 smalls, they won't last...

you did the right thing. i wouldn't let them have him back either. idk if you have a before and after pic of the guy to show them the difference between a healthy and unhealthy cham and to show them they let an animal that is 100% dependent on them get that sick.
