Well... at three months their horns are still kind of short. Although I had a nine month old jackson that was smaller than my pinkey finger so they can be older and small. But being younger and big... well ... maaaaybe.

I had this issue with my female jackson's, she had an extreme case of mouthrot when she was pregnant, and because she wasn't feeling well she just kept holding on to the babies. Remember that the moutrot is a secondary issue... hopefully the eggs are not going to be effected by the primary issue...
That is the tricky part, could be vitamin A, could be dirt got in the eye, could have been a bacteria infection, could have been ... oh the list goes on.
Keep him hydrated while you use any antibiotic and if the swelling does not decrease after a few day OR if it increases from here...

Your right, it is true that the culture/sensitivity might not be needed... but... what if the cipro hadn't worked... like the amoxicillin didn't work for mine, and more time progressed... the cipro might have just weakened your chameleon.
In my case, I think cipro would have been a better...
