Not sure there is a problem but want to make sure.

A real plant would be tough, I don't want too much weight hanging from the screen. I'll figure something out though.

Thanks! What part of the middle are you looking at for more foliage? I know the bottom is kind of empty but just want to check. Anyone have any idea why he's not eating much? I'm thinking maybe he's getting adjusted to his new home still but just to have all my bases covered.

Thanks! I will have to order plain calcium as my petsmart only has it with D3. I'm checking his temps via 2 flukers digital thermometers and then one thermometer with a dongle (no idea what to call it) that I put under the basking light. In the summer it will be very hot here. I'm assuming...

Actually, he looks pretty healthy now. Just got this photo of him. I still would appreciate feedback on anything though.

Chameleon Info: Your Chameleon - Veiled Cham. 2-3 months old. I've had him a week. Handling - I've handled him once, almost a week ago. Feeding - I cup feed him crickets everyday. I'm not sure how many he eats but I give him 7-8. He eats less than that. Supplements - Just bought Rep-Cal...

    ***The Official Enclosure Picture Thread***

Just finished setting up this enclosure today. It's a 24x24x48 repti-breeze. I'm housing my 3 month old veiled chameleon in it (which, before anyone says anything, he has taken well to cup feeding and I had a small enclosure as a back up for in case there was an issue).

    new to chams, why screens?

That's a good point. If I used that I'd probably attach a light to the screen door. Also someone said about UVB in the cabinet, if you look at the top left there's a light with a metal screen over it, then the lower light could be used for 2 UVB lights for more coverage. Thanks for all...

    new to chams, why screens?

I live in MA and I have a cabinet, not a glass enclosure that's almost 2x2 and over 4 feet high. For the other responses, crested geckos are also arboreal, spend their time at the top and get easily stressed, sometimes dropping their tale for no apparent reason. I think almost all reptiles are...

    new to chams, why screens?

i posted this question on reptic zone also. Whenever it's mentioned that chameleons need screens as opposed to a tank it's said that it's because the air can become stagnant and with the humidity it can build up bacteria. There are a lot of other reptiles that have high humidity though and...

    Never holding my chameleon???

Stress is the only reason you shouldn't handle them so if they aren't stressed then there's no problem (i would think). Just handle them in a way they don't get stressed out. If you can tame a tokay you can definitely tame a chameleon, it's just a matter of how you get it there.

    Habamist?

I don't have a cham but cresteds have the same humidity level. I use a pump spray bottle. It's meant for plant chemicals. I used to use the hand trigger type like windex bottles and it took forever but this thing works 100 times better. I usually have the humidity drop really fast on me from...
