Its a frustrating situation but I just want to keep her healthy enough until I can get her back to the breeder .... I'm hoping that by lowering the temp and offering water almost constantly she will make it long enough - she is still very active and her eyes look fine still - not seeing any...

Rather complicated issue - make a long story short - the breeder was supposed to sell me a male and we got a female - he has agreed to take the female back and trade for a male but he is currently out of town for a funeral and I do not want to put money into a chameleon that isn't even...
Also not really keen on doing the shower method - I don't have a fake plant and I don't think the chlorine / fluoride and other things in the water would be ok for my chameleon
Hey I'm having an issue with my female right now - she's pretty much quit drinking water it appears- her urates are 100 percent orange and they are rather small as well ... This has been happening for about 5 days now straight and I'm getting really concerned .... The only thing I've been doing...
Same here 10 pm - 10 am works better for my work schedule and if the room is dark enough I don't think it is an issue - in the winter when it gets dark early my Cham will go to bed around 8:00 even if the lights go out at 10 but in spring and summer and fall it's more like 8:30 or 9:00 so for me...
My female has the same bumps / slight edema going on ... Not exactly sure what causes it - when she was young it happened to me and I changed my vitamin supplement to herptivite and my d3 supplement to miner-all indoor formula and these changes seemed to correct the problem when she was young...
He looks beautiful ! And he also seems a bit older than 5 months - also it's not weird for them to get picky and select out the food that they want to eat. In fact sometimes when I put multiple food items in the cup I am intrigued by which ones he chooses to eat and which ones he chooses to...
Well great news today - I talked to the breeder and he was very apologetic and he explained that after sexing hundreds of babies - he has made a few mistakes here and there so we came to an agreement for him to take back the female and give me a male in a couple months once the new babies have...
But also just so show why I was having trouble trying to tell if it was a female or not is because of stuff like this photo where there seemed to be blues / greens and even some purple coming in on the head and crown ... Also I have another pic where I kinda was seeing a bulge after the vent but...
I never give them carrots - I always feed them leafy greens like collard greens or turnip greens or mustard greens ... Things like that - not potato or carrot ... And nothing too wet because the substrate needs to stay dry ... Also sometimes I'll take the calcium fortified cricket drink and...
This is interesting because I too bought some crickets at petco and had the same issue this past week but oddly enough I went back 2 days ago and got more and these seem much healthier and aren't dying off like the last ones ... Not totally sure what the deal is but I would say if it keeps...
alright cool thank you for the information and yes I will be contacting the breeder to ask if he would be willing to trade the mature female back for a male ... I didn't know if that was a common thing to have happen after a chameleon is incorrectly sexed but that's ultimately what I want to do...
