Thanks. Its good to know that it seems like a rare occurrence, because I can't afford a new hood every month. Lol

My uvb (22" reptisun 5.0) light blew out this morning, probably when the timer kicked on. It seems to have destroyed the hood, too, as the replacement bulb didn't work until I bought a new hood. Nor did the 10.0 bulb that came with the hood. The bulb only lasted three weeks, maybe a month...

I appreciate the offer and I may poke my head in here now and again for advice. I've been informing and preparing myself through YouTube. (Neptune the Chameleon)

I'm pretty sure my new chameleon, 2 or 3 months is female. Does that ID look correct based off these pictures. These are the best pics I've been able to manage so far without being too intrusive.
