Looks like a slight case of edema. Ive had a girl with water retention when she became gravid. I would say over supplementing could be the cause. Ive also heard that it could have some thing to do strictly with egg production if the clutch is large and he female goes off food for a while.

First though was that something got them hatching pre maturely but your bumping up to 9 months and as you mentioned, the eggs you cut open, you observed that most of the yolk sac was absorbed.
