    Rehoming Male Panther Chameleon VA

Thank you, I really love him but I know he needs more than that. I tried to make it work with my changing schedule but it’s not fair to him.

    Rehoming Male Panther Chameleon VA

Thank you, it was a hard decision but I know it’s best. Work has gotten busy and I’m only home right when he wakes up I quickly feed him and he’s asleep by the time I get back. :(

    Rehoming Male Panther Chameleon VA

I am very saddened to have to rehome my male ambanja panther chameleon, but I can no longer care for him the way he truly deserves. Unexpected schedule changes and work conflicts make me unable to spend the time on him and his feeders the way I used to and he deserves more time and care than I...

    Pinworms & disinfection

Thank you! It freaked me out at first but now that I know it’s common I’m not as paranoid when it’s a super low load. As long as the vet isn’t worried I’m not either. He had issues with RI which is why they did the parasite treatment the first time just to make sure they didn’t interfere with...

    Pinworms & disinfection

Welcome! I tried a Dubia colony and it freaked me out too much so I gave up on that. 😂 I just order from dubiaroaches.com or joshsfrogs.com now and always get enough so I don’t run out anymore haha. The dubia colony was super easy to start but when they started having lots of babies I realized...

    Pinworms & disinfection

He has a very low load which his vet says is normal for reptiles since they eat bugs and won’t affect his health. I did toss the dishes and disinfected the tongs and all that but I tested him again several months later and he had a low load again. I keep his feeders pretty clean but they don’t...

    Steam cleaning

I did my usual routine taking out all my plants Oh I thought the temperature was hot enough to sanitize not just blow, good to know! I ended up still taking out all my plants and left my branches up and sanitized the enclosure with alcohol let air dry then went over it with the steamer and...

    Steam cleaning

Hi all! I my boyfriend just bought a steam cleaner for cleaning tiles but I see that some people use steam cleaning for their chameleon enclosures. I was wondering how I would go about doing the same with Norbert’s enclosure. Do those of you that steam do it once weekly and just use the steam...

    CHAMELEON ART THREAD

Not my personal drawing but I asked a friend of mine to draw a picture of Norbert for me a while back on his iPad and here it is (and the OG photo)! Planning on making them into stickers 😊

    RI being treated: husbandry review

Hello all, I finished Norberts last round of antibiotics the other day. I did a light cage cleaning working around him (took all plants out and washed with soap and cleaned the bottom tray with dawn and wiped branches with water). He wasn’t too keen to come out for a thorough cleaning after all...

    RI being treated: husbandry review

Just did his injection with the towel method and it was definitely less stressful for both parties! No biting (not that he didn’t try) and it was very quick and easier to hold him! He can go back to hiding from me the rest of the day now. Just 3 more syringes left. 😊

    RI being treated: husbandry review

Yep I try to do it exactly how the vet showed me and try to switch sides so he gets a little break in between. I didn’t know the reasoning for the high placement but I just copied what he did so thank you for explaining! Can’t wait to be done with treatment so I can leave him alone for a while...

    RI being treated: husbandry review

Sorry I somehow missed the part you asked what antibiotic. It is ceftazidime, every 72 hours, subcutaneous in the back. Here’s a picture of the vet doing the first injection. He made it look so easy 😅
