    Misting setup question

I wouldn't worry too much about poking holes. I did, it was fairly easy. I set mine up in the upper right hand corner. I used a scalpel (I teach science) but I think an exact-o knife would work well too. MistKing sells a plastic reinforced corner, but I was not willing to wait for one so I made...

    Orange guard for Ant Control?

They are actually climbing up the mister tubing and/or the walls, so that is not really an option. But if I use a repellent outside of the cage, the only things that can eat it is ants. My feeders are kept in a separate location.

    Orange guard for Ant Control?

I wanted to know if someone uses this product and how safe it is for their Chams. I have a serious ant problem. They keep sneaking in to eat cham debris. Seemingly overnight. They are trying to colonize in my plants. I need to find a repellent that works. (Hawaii is not always paradise)

    Mist King Misting Schedule

Let me add that I'm in Hawaii... Humidity ranges from 50-70. Temps in cage range from 82 (top) to 78 (bottom).

    Mist King Misting Schedule

I just set up my mist king. Its beautiful. But my chameleon still doesn't like the water. But she should like it more then my invasive spray bottle. So what schedule should I set up? I teach middle school, and the chameleon is in my classroom. So I bought the mist king for the over the weekend...

    A very confused chameleon...

So this morning I fed my chameleon as normal: 6 large crickets, dusted calcium w/o D3, into a cup w/ a Popsicle stick so they can escape, roam, and be hunted down. But I look over and this happened.... Somehow a cricket fell on top of my chameleon! And my chameleon was looking at her butt...

Free Roam Crickets lead to eggs in the Enclosure -- Issue or Nonissue?

Good to know! The soil is covered with large rocks... but the cricket can get under them. I scooped the soil and didn't see any eggs... I'll keep and eye out for pin heads. Thanks!

Free Roam Crickets lead to eggs in the Enclosure -- Issue or Nonissue?

The soil might not be deep, the the area of the pot is large... and she's roaming... I'll do what I can :(

Should I be worried? More gaping and moving then usual...

I missed this post. Here is a picture. She seems to be gaping less. She just likes to roam, and I catch her gaping every once and awhile.

Free Roam Crickets lead to eggs in the Enclosure -- Issue or Nonissue?

So I recently found that my chameleon likes to hunt down her crickets. So I've been setting them free instead of putting them in a cup. She usually eats them within 10 minutes. Today apparently, she either didn't notice, or is full and is letting a female cricket roam free. Well to my luck, the...

Should I be worried? More gaping and moving then usual...

My temperature are a couple aquarium stickers stuck to the top and the bottom of the cage. I'll put some standard thermometers out to read the temp and see if that's my issue (which will make me feel dumb, because I should have thought of that right away). She was wild caught, but I bought her...

Should I be worried? More gaping and moving then usual...

Current Issue - My female Jackson is doing a lot more gaping and roaming around the cage then before. She seems to prefer to hang out on the mesh sides rather than among the cover and is almost constantly gaping. But the temperatures in her cage have not changed, and if anything are lower (heat...

    Hunting for Lunch

Thanks! I will try this... right now she leaves none alive! I feed her 6 every other day.

    Hunting for Lunch

I normally feed my Jackson from a small cup in her cage. That way I know when she eats, how much she eats and I don't leave crickets in the cage overnight. Today was the first day I've ever seen her hit the outside of the cup when attempting to catch a cricket (from below the cup). I've had her...
