Thanks everyone for support. It’s been a week, and our chameleon completely stopped opening his mouth and hiding. He is eager to climb both in and outside his terrarium, eats well.
So i guess we just didn’t give him enough moisture🤦🏻♀️
No, it’s bot constant. He does it for several minutes in the afternoon when he goes down to lower branches. So far I have seen it only three times- once a day. But of course I don’t sit and look all day.
hello, again! I took him out to sit in the sun because of the warm day today. He enjoyed it quite a bit, was trying to absorb the warmth with getting darker…
But one thing I noticed- wasn’t there before, he has around 8 purplish spots with white dried skin in it. What could it be?
Update: increased fogging and misting to maximum. Vet said not to decrease temperature- it should be 34 in basking spot( like it was). Today he is more lively, even wanted to go on my hand. Walked around the room for more than 30 min.
Pooped as well….
But not interested in food still.
Vitamins...
Thanks for advise. Will adjust🙏 I really appreciate all input from different owners. Hopefully he will be more active soon. This evening was sitting like this for quite some time 😔:
Yes, just those two. What multivitamin would you advise?
He has been like that couple weeks or so. We were gone for vacation, and even though he was fed by my friend, and there was no change in feeding, he seems to be mad at us😅
He used to love to go out of terrarium, climb my son, walk around...
Thanks for quick reply. He had it like that for 2,5 years, not like I changed anything. The heating bulb and uvb is on top of the screen, same place they have always been.
I have a thermometer/hygrometer pinned at basking place and also on the opposite corner. It is 29,5C at basking spot and...
Hello again! I raised the lamp higher, now it is 30C in basking spot. Also changed the UV lamp just in case. But today noticed him sitting like this:
What does it mean?
Doesn’t open and close- just sits with open mouth like that….
Appreciate your help.
