    Crotons

I found them on a safe list a while ago and I've had them in my veiled's enclosure a few times. I read recently they can be irritating if eaten by a cham, but I think she's even chomped on a few and been fine.

    Lucy's Second Clutch!

Awesome, thank you. I read a few posts on here/articles where, with the right changes, eventually they didn't lay any, but I didn't get thw impression that was the norm either.

    Lucy's Second Clutch!

Thank you, me too. I was hoping for a few less eggs, but at least it's getting there. What is a good size to aim for?

    Lucy's Second Clutch!

Lucy just finished laying her second infertile clutch! She started digging around 9am this morning and just had a good misting a a few treats after covering them up. This time only 38 eggs (last time was in the 60s), so reducing the temp and feeders has been moving her in the right...

Any cham nutritionists out there? Got Questions!

Ahh, bummer; the schleffera was the first one Lucy decided she loved to really chomp on (and ate probably 1/4 of the leaves off over the first 3 months she had it). Her second favorite has been her hibiscus. She ate leaves/flowers off of the first 2 I managed to kill. The 2 she has now I...

Any cham nutritionists out there? Got Questions!

Also, i mainly try to use the plants to fill in hiding spots and help make humidity pockets, then use the branches and vines for pathways. Maybe you could try a new branch where the fake plant is and then fill in around it with foliage?

Any cham nutritionists out there? Got Questions!

It jas taken me ALOT of trial and error with plants; I have killed hundreds of dollars worth this year finding the right ones for her enclosure and learning where to keep them where they dont get too much/too little light or water. If yours didnt like that one, maybe you can try another? What...

Any cham nutritionists out there? Got Questions!

For me, live plants are the best way to get my veiled to eat any kind of vegetation, she can't resist. She has taken (at least) a bite out of most of her live plants; schleffera (many, many bites out of this one), hibiscus, crotons, prayer plant, jade, dracaena, and ficus...not her pothos or...

    Piper (Iguana) Settled In Nicely

He's gorgeous Jann; he looks relaxed, bright, alert and happy! I have a huge soft spot for igunas (prior to my Lucy they were the only reptiles I have had). When I was a teenager I had one named Spaz that was free-ranged and he would come and sleep above my head on my pillow every night! Piper...

    Mister question

I bought a (very, very lightly) used Monsoon for $40 off of Craigslist and it only lasted a month; when I went to fill it one day the filling area leaked and fried the motherboard out. I wish I had just put the $ towards a Mist King or Climist in the first place; lesson learned!
