Hi all, at the moment im trying to ween my 2 and a half year old panther off superworms. So how long can i leave my cham without food before it becomes a health risk?

As the days go on Ninja's tongue seems to be gaining abit more strength.

just an update, took Ninja to the vet today.
He's weighing 210 grams, and apparently looking healthy apart from a slight swelling on his lip on his bottom jaw, on the inside of the mouth this tiny spot is darker in colour than the rest of his mouth so she's give me a 7 day course of 2.5%...
Just a quick extra on the feeder part, have you ever used butterworms? i stumbled across a U.K website that sells Silkworms when they have stock.
Unfortunately they were sold out so i did some reading up on the butterworms they sell and they are supposed to have a good calcium to phosphorus...

thanks for the quick reply, ive had him for around 15 months now and he was maybe 4-5 months old when i had him.
he's still his same old character, theres no inflammation and he has no trouble closing his mouth completely, it just looks a bit strange thats all.

ive noticed how panthers can have yellow mouths when they open up, my question is: is it posible for them to have say one half yellow and one half the usual pale pink colour?

i feed him on monday, wednesday and friday with mainly crickets with a few superworms usually about 8 feeders. all of them are gutloaded with fresh greens. as for how much they are dusted with calcium you can hardly see it on them i dont like to go over the top with it just incase.

im from the UK also, i had to take a few trips to some decent garden centres to find myself a nice ficus and hibiscus. about 5 to be exact :P
i too tried homebase and the staff werent too much help.
i would say try a few other places, keep looking but dont give up!
