Hey guys I pretty much rescued a malnourished and dehydrated little veiled fellow. He is just absolutely terrified of human reaction. Even walking in the room makes him crawl to the bottom of the enclosure and hide. I really want to see his urate to make sure he is in good shade but I can't get...
I’m definitely going to give that a try. I will say when I get too close to him because it’s only been like two days he is dancing and he borderline wants to bite me lol but I think when he’s mouth wide open, I’m gonna try to put the cricket in his mouth lol
So little guy still hasn’t eaten anything. You would have thought me trying to hand feed him was the most terrifying thing he ever saw so I will give it a rest on that. I have a feeling the other people neglecting him were feeding him something like mealworms so he is probably like what is this...
Yeah, that’s what I was thinking too. I didn’t wanna stress him out and take him out of his environment. I was looking online and found a website where I could send his fecal matter to and they would test it and let me know in 3 to 5 business days. I just didn’t know if you had maybe heard about...
I live in the south and it seems to be no reptile vets in the area. I have tried to look online and I can’t seem to find any, but do you have a recommendation on how to get a fecal test done for him?
I have tried crickets and Duby roaches and he has not seem to eat one that I’ve noticed. I did take out the bugs that he did not eat and I’m going to try to re-introduce them later. I have a feeling he was probably fed something like mealworms or something. But I am not bowl feeding him. He is...
Thank you! I have been extremely careful. I have a walk-in closet that my panther is in and he is in a extremely large grow tent that I rigged up with screen and my veiled is in the actual bedroom part, but I am making sure to do not cross contaminate anything
I still haven't seen any poop and it seems to me.He still hasn't eaten any of his food but I have seen him drinking, and he is climbing around the enclosure pretty good and his tail is still curling, which is a good sign
Also thank you everyone for your help. I love this chameleon community because everyone is always so kind and helpful. Some really cool people on this website.
Thank you so much period I know. It's so rare to see a chameleon drink. And he was drinking this morning when I was misting it. I will say he has not eaten yet though, but he has not been that crazy black that I saw him stressed out since I got him. Only been less than 24 hours
