Why is my panther going to the bottom of his cage?

Ok, thank you for all the help! It makes me feel a bit better knowing that’s it’s probably just him maturing.

Why is my panther going to the bottom of his cage?

He actually does have a girlfriend he’s already mated with. She laid eggs last month. Their cages are next to each other, but there is a piece of black corrugated plastic between their cages. Could he maybe sense she’s there?? He definitely can’t see her.

Why is my panther going to the bottom of his cage?

Sure. I just took these for that purpose. He’s still hanging out at the bottom. I would open the cage and get a better picture, but he tends to try to climb on out when the door is open if he’s near it. 😆

Why is my panther going to the bottom of his cage?

Hello! My husband and I have a male panther chameleon, about 8 months old and he’s been exploring the bottom of his enclosure a lot recently. He seems to be at the bottom most of the day just climbing around like he’s looking for something. He has live plants- an umbrella tree and a butterfly...

    Is she sick??!?

Yes, she was active this morning, she’s still eating. She was just basking in that pic, not sleeping

    Is she sick??!?

She just laid her first clutch yesterday, 23 healthy eggs. She’s been eating and drinking fine. However, when I went to check on her earlier, she had this coloring. I can’t find any good info on here, but I swear I saw a cheat sheet that said these colors were bad news. Please tell me I’m wrong!!!

Help with female panther egg laying?!??

I don’t have any pics of her lay bin atm, and we have black plastic taped to the front and sides of cage for privacy, I really don’t want to move it to get a pic. It’s 50/50 soil and play sand. We don’t weight her because she does NOT like to be handled. She bit my husband the last time 😳 The...

Help with female panther egg laying?!??

Hi, I’m new to posting in here, but hoping to get some advice. Our female panther was bred on April 17. She started displaying her gravid colors about 2 days after that. About 3 days ago, she started digging in her lay bin. She has been in and out since then, but never covered up her hole. My...
