Also Mr camo this morning didn't act the way he usually does.. he normally starts showing his dark stripes and spots when I put my hand in the cage to mist or feed, this morning he didn't he actually looked more yellow than green. He has never seen him this color before. Help?
How do I raise humidity levels in the cage?? I set up my old humidifier next to the cage to try and help boost humidity because I'm worried it is not high enough.. I know switching to live plants will help as well but another other suggestions??
Than
Thank you alphakenc! I've always wanted a chameleon so I'm not gonna let one bad experience bring me down! I did rearrange the cage like was suggested before and also added a dripper
Hey guys! It's me again. After the passing of my sick chameleons, my boyfriend felt awful (it really was a nightmare for me) he went down to Petco and got me a new one. Meet Camo the veiled Chameleon! I am very happy with him so far. No issues yet, he was eating the very first day- 7 crickets...
I am sad to say my poor cham has passed this morning :( I woke up to her lying at the bottom of the cage. Thank you everyone for trying to help save her.
I'm not forcing her at all I put warm water in her mister and am dripping it for her. She opens her mouth briefly like she is drinking to and then just spits it out.
We ordered two separate cages for them but the second had not arrived until a day later but by then the little guy was already gone. I asked for two Jackson's (male and female) but my boyfriend told me she was a veiled he was probably misunderstood if she is in fact a jacksons
No she is awake still about 2 hours left on her cycle. I have tried soaking her cage and she hates the water she runs from it when I mist even lightly I have even soaked it and she will then move to the bottom I had to kind of nudge her lips with the bottle to even get her to drink a little..
