Veiled chameleons handle 100 degree weather fine, as long as they can thermoregulate themselves. I'm not sure about the other species though.
How far above 100 does it go?
If it's an eye infection you need to get the proper medication ASAP, they can cause permanent damage to their eyes rubbing it on branches etc.
I know this from experience, as I have a chameleon with a scarred cornea and slightly deformed eye turret as a result from an eye infection/rubbing...
Waldo is more active than he has ever been in his lifetime currently, and extremely healthy. He has always had a tiny appetite ever since I got him, even during adolescence where he should have had a voracious appetite for his growth spurts, but now he goes CRAZY for any type of feeder...
I personally wouldn't worry at all about temperatures in the 50s, and I would be okay with high 40s as well. If it's consistently that low though, of course you would have a problem over time, but a few cold winter nights getting that low is fine, just make sure they have somewhere to warm up in...
I provide to my chameleons the most natural habitat and diet possible. I don't just feed them what I think they love. I don't think they would eat a fruit ever in the wild, so I don't ever feed it to them.
Some chameleons do eat plant matter, which is a perfectly fine adaptation to get moisture. Some chameleons will eat plant matter regardless of water availability as well, my veiled however only eats the flowers on his Cape Honeysuckle plant when he is thirsty and/or hungry.
I'm not entirely...
Yeah I see those egg sacs everywhere around my house, I've been trying to keep the spider numbers down without any pesticides so I usually flood them out with water and then kill them.
I thought that brown widows had webs near the ground like black widows do though, which is why I was...
Fed mine a wasp with the stinger still in, he ate that one without much trouble and readily accepted a second (not just out of hunger as he ate 2 large horn worms inbetween the two wasps). Seems like he likes 'em :D
