ive had no luck keeping plants alive in cham cage. just purchased a 4' fake ficus. is the fake plant ok? looks great and seems like a lot less maintenance. thanks for any info

barely escaped huricane sandy. cage destroyed(4x4) as well as my house, went 4 days without food water and proper lighting. got im into a 2x2 cage now w proper heat and light and hes eating like a champ again.

i use distilled water for my mistking but my store was out. they had purified so i got a couple of gallons of that. is purified ok to use?
