    White dubia???

White Roaches BTW, a freshly molted white roach is a very tasty meal to a cham. My adult chams do not like the hard brown roaches, they will only eat the soft white ones. They also prefer their crickets and superworms freshly moted, but they will eat those prey items brown.

    Humidifiers

Cages Gordo, I would be inclined to agree with your local zoologist. Although I use full screened cages, I have multiple chameleons and they are set up side by side with visual barriers in between. Most of my cages end up with only the tops and front sides open to the air, and even with...

    do Chameleons bite?

Chameleons do bite I agree with what was written above and I'd like to add that even a sweet panther can bite under stressful situations. My male panther was always very calm and gentle and never showed any aggression. In fact, when I opened his cage door he used to walk down my arm and...

    Cages where are you.

Cages I wish that I could build my own cages like Will and Zerah, but I have no talent in that area. So, if you're like me and cannot build your own cages, then I agree with Brad that cages from (LDS) cages.net are worth a look. All my adult cages are purchased from them. Their large mesh...

    ESU cages pure junk

ESU Cage I don't have any rusting on my ESU cage, but I have noticed that the white bottom stains very easily. Has anyone else noticed that?

Wow! A couple hundred snakes.......that is a lot of work and you are definitely an experienced reptile keeper. Enjoy your 4 chameleons.

No Good Deed Goes Unpunished :-)

Chameleons are addictive Dave, I couldn't agree with you more. I definitely think I'm addicted too. Chameleons are all so unique in their personalities, their coloring, their likes and dislikes. Every day I learn something new about them and I'm always amazed. I know what you mean...

    Howdy Guys!

Zerah - You are an amazing carpenter. Your chams are very lucky. Hybrid - I know that you wrote you're an experienced reptile keeper, but I was baffled by your comment "I just finished selling off 95% of my adult breeder snakes and because I dont have the time to breed and take care...

No Good Deed Goes Unpunished :-)

Hissers Hey Dave, The picture you provided doesn't do your work justice. It looks much nicer now. All the cages are black, the same height and lined up nicely in a row with sprinkler heads directly above each cage and a fairly clean drainage system below. I thought it was huge...

No Good Deed Goes Unpunished :-)

Reptile Finders Hi Dave, I stopped by Reptile Finders today after work to check out your handy work. I like how you set up their sprinkler and drainage systems. Very nice job. That's the happiest I've ever seen their chams. And I didn't see any peat moss, so they must have removed it...

Reptile Finders Dave, Sorry, I didn't get back to you sooner. Thanks for your reply. I know the store you're trying to help out. Reptile Finders is only a few miles away from me and I think Chuck is the owner's name. I've talked to him several times. He offered to take my first clutch...

Dave, I thought that I remember reading that you live near or in Manhattan Beach. I was just curious, what local reptile store are you helping? I'd love to go check it out. Thanks.

    Feeding a baby

Baby Veiled Congratulations on your new addition. How small is your 1 month old veiled? Pinhead crickets tend to be ant sized and a one month old veiled should be able to eat small crickets. I don't even feed my veiled hatchlings pinhead crickets. I feed them one week old crickets...
