Well that could be true for varnish or poly as well, the wood has to be treated so that it's water tight.

Just a note, before you upload pictures if you right click them on your computer there is a "Rotate" option, if you click it to the direction you need to go like the one in your last post needs to go right then they will be right side up when you upload them.

Ok, I got some work done today. These first 2 pics are showing the door. I got it sanded and a couple coats of the clear on it. I'm using semi gloss so not super glossy which is how I want it. It's still pretty light but it'll darken over time with UV exposure. These next 2 pictures show...
