My little guy used to do that too. He would stay in the same spot for hours. Now, after about a month of having him, he ventures around a lot more. I dont know how long you have had yours, but mine acted very similar, and he was about the same age. How do you feed him? I free range the feeders...

My first and only (for now) setup cost well over $500, not counting cham and consumables. Plants, vines, cage, water system, automation, light bulbs and fixtures. If I were to get another, I would do many things different ( I built my setup) but I imagine it would cost approximately the same

He is very aggressive right now, and seems to be much more active than normal. Is this standard for shedding periods?

I have had him for a month and this is the first time he has shed with me. He is only about 5 months old. I noticed about a week ago he shed an eye, and his top scales and feet were looking very "dry" the last couple days. This morning I come in to see how hes doing and boom!

Thank you all for the great responses! I think I am just being an over paranoid dad. I did look at those lists and I will be ordering some Blue Bottle flies as well as adding some worms to his diet. Still looking for a few more varieties that are somewhat local/easy to care for.

Not sure what kind of setup you run, but I have a waterfall in mine. My cham loves it, but rather drinks from the rain on the leaves. There are pictures of my setup in a different post I made. :)

if you still have the tag it should give its latin name. If it reads "schefflera arbolicola" you are good to go!
