I am offering up this chameleon for adoption to a good home. I helped him to recover from MBD but he still cant shoot his tongue very far and hence needs close monitoring and/or hand feeding to make sure he is successful with feeding . As I am starting a new job soon, I just wont have the time...

Part time cage have to be full size?

He would be in the cage until he is close to a year old. After that, he would only be in there for a day to a couple days at a time or perhaps at night on cold nights. Is it the handling of him or change of environment that you think will stress him out? Currently, I put him in the outdoor cage...

Part time cage have to be full size?

Hello, I live in Southern California and I have a 3 month old male veiled currently in a 20"x18"x18" and he is getting ready to move up in cage size. I have an awesome 6'x3'x3' outdoor setup for him as well. After he is about a year old, I plan to move him permanently outdoors. However, I will...

    Green bugs!

By the way, sorry I forgot to reply regarding the plant. It is a schefflera (umbrella tree). I'll probably just clean the plant off when I get a chance. Thanks for all the help! Alec

    Green bugs!

The live plant in my chameleon's enclosure has some new growth near the top of the cage and I have noticed small green insects living on the new leaves and stalks. Has anyone else experienced these bugs? I haven't seen them before these new leaves grew. I'm not sure if I should regard them as...

    Fly eggs in potting soil?

That sounds like a good idea. Only thing I would worry about is the chameleon eating the sand and getting impacted. He is such a little stinker, like I said before, even if I put river rocks, he shoots his tongue between the cracks and eats the soil.

    Fly eggs in potting soil?

Have you done this before? I have a lot of live plants so I'll have to do a few loads of soil. How long and what temp should I do it at?

    Fly eggs in potting soil?

Hi Guys, After I put in new soil, after a couple of weeks there are a whole bunch of tiny little flies in the enclosure that definitely come from the soil. I have tried a couple different soils(organic, gardening, vegetable) but I end up with the same problem every time. Is there any kind of...
