Geo got some outside time today. He is finally getting a little (I stress little) mature coloring! Actually had my phone with me so I figured I share a few photos.

Have you tried giving him a few hornworms per week?

I have a big dripper that I run a gallon of distilled water through every day. Drops at least every second. I mist big time before I start the dripper. My guy will very seldom drink in front of me. Are you dripping it down foliage? How is his poop? Is it runny at all?

Hornworms in moderation seem to be a critical tool for healthy chams. I haven’t used silkworms yet, but are they as juicy? Would they tend to have the same GI track benefits as hornworms?

Could the orange color be a blend of blood and urates? Could parasites cause some bleeding? I’d be curious with what everybody has to say about that. I think it could be a valid question.

I think Beman has a point with the feeding time. It looks like there is some undigested cricket parts in the fecal. Could be two things. Parasite or not enough basking/digestion time. I’m no pro here, but I’d start with changing the feeding to earlier, and get a fecal done.

I had a similar problem. Turned out to be parasites. You can check out the feedback I got. I think the thread was “wet poop sometimes “ I’d get a fecal done.

Okay, so I just got my first order from Rainbow Mealworms. I got 200 crickets, a dozen Dubias and a dozen hornworms and I couldn’t be happier! Zero dead loss, super lively and packaged nicely. So impressed that I confirmed the auto order.

City water is often chlorinated, well water is often softened with salt. Any 7-11 has a liter bottle of Aquafina or something. My thought with my Cham is that if the water kills a goldfish, I’m not letting him drink it.
