Yeah I learned a long time ago not to wear bright or dark colors when approaching them or handling them. My wardrobe is pretty much all light gray -heather gray.
I’m a woman, and no nothing has changed physically in the last three years. And it’s not just me that he hates. He hates every person that he’s ever seen.
Absolutely, all the chams are out of site of each other. I have a female, so I was thinking that he could possibly smell her and he’s a male so he obviously would be enticed and geared up about her but my other male is the most relaxed, social, friendly, cham I’ve ever had. I’ve had five chams...
Hey there, I’ve posted to this forum before for other reasons but this is something that’s been going on for a while, and I’ve tried to correct it as much as I can but nothing but nothing seems to be working/helping
So to start off the story, about a year after I got my first chameleon I was at...
My roommate had a female veiled about the same age. She started showing signs of being gravid but my roommate didn’t get her a laying bin and sand in time (my boyfriend and I actually had to buy it because she literally just wouldn’t. It was like she didn’t care anymore.) But it was too late...
My Jackson’s girl just laid about 15 slugs this morning. Gave me a heart attack when I found her this morning with them all stuck to her legs and tail. o_O She’s a little over a year old, definitely a little on the hefty side. Got a photo of the first eight (probably more) or so she dropped.
Thank you, she’s my pride and joy. When something is wrong/happens to her I lose my mind a bit. No matter how much research I do, I can never know enough lol.
I thought so, thank you so much. I gave her a long misting and she drank a bunch of water, and she’s following my fingers around with her tongue out likes she’s hungry. (She does that a lot, she even does that to my dog when he walks past her cage.)
Hey there, you might remember me from a few months back. I have a female Jackson’s Chameleon with organ toxicity from a D3 overdose.
Since taking some advice, I immediately started hydration to flush out her system and limited her diet and light times and now she’s better than ever. She made a...
I have, thank you. I don’t let anyone else water her because of that reason. Normally once she’s gotten some in her mouth she gets the idea that it’s drinking time and will drink on her own. It just takes a bit of encouragement.
This morning she seems to be doing 100 times better. She’s still a bit wobbly but no where near as much as she’s was yesterday and the night before. See’s moving around a lot more steadily.
Yesterday I hydrated her ALOT. I gave her at least three showers. (Put her on a plant inside my bathtub...
Thank you very much. I appreciate all your help. It truly means the world to me. I’ll keep the thread updated if you wish to know how she’s doing and how she’s recovering. Thank you again.
How long should I keep her UVB bulb off? And how long do you think she should hold off on full meals? She still has so much energy, and is trying so hard to bulldoze around her cage but she’s just bobbing and weaving everywhere. Even when she tracks a cricket, and tries to catch it there is...
