Worried!! Cham is climbing screen and falling

sounds great and her indoor cage looks perfect. If I were you i'd just leave her inside so she can lay in peace, then you can start housing her outside once she's finished. Just don't disturb her at all when she's digging around. Just moving her around will stress her out and she may not lay...

Panther eating dirt and ignoring crickets

Sounds like behavior of a female chameleon. You sure you have a boy? Can we see some pics? Also what's the age of your chameleon? Thanks

Worried!! Cham is climbing screen and falling

Just leave her be inside. She just needs a basking spot of around high 80's and night temp around high 60's. she should be fine. Just don't use the blue light, add a lay box for her asap and cover her up at night with a big towel or blanket so she can't see anyone / activity. This should allow...

Just found out I have a female..I'm nervous!

Yup, sounds like she's ready to lay... You need to follow these instructions asap then leave her be til she's finished laying: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5usyXP_u4Zc I've recommend this link a few times and the people have had great success with it. Since she did take a fall, I'd be...

Worried!! Cham is climbing screen and falling

I personally never used dowels, they got kinda moldy so I switched to some bamboo instead. agreed. Your husbandry sounds pretty off... You need to get rid of that blue light asap. Chams can see any type of light, geckos can be kept under infrared / blue lights with no problems...

Worried!! Cham is climbing screen and falling

No Problem! :) You just want to make sure your Cham isn't gravid. If your Cham is carrying eggs and took a fall I'd b highly concerned. Just keep an eye on her, make sure she's not sleeping during the day or acting strange from her usual habits. Like I said, she may get a bruise but she...

    Hairy Babies!

Tried my best. Sorry guys :(

You live and you learn. Don't give up with a cham though! Hope he pulls through. Try hydrating your cham and offering him hornworms / silkworms. Maybe he can flush out whatever he has in him. You can ALWAYS take him to a vet aswell. You're in Florida so there should be a few great vets...

Worried!! Cham is climbing screen and falling

She'll be fine as long as she's not ready to lay eggs. Chams can take a fall from a high height, might get a bruise but she'll be fine. As for climbing on her "new" cage, it's because she's in a new environment trying to explore around. It can be frustrating at times since chams like to...

    PVC Enclosures?

That's another great point! Haha I figured I'd have to shoot the staples so they face vertical with the PVC pipe or horizontal if the pipes horizontal. But if have to use about 100+ staples lol. Also I didn't think about chams being able to grip. I guess wrapping a bunch of fake vines around...

    PVC Enclosures?

Glad you shared your struggles with the PVC cages. Makes me not want to use it anymore. I figured I'd think it was cheap and end up paying more than I bargained for. I might just stick with a full mesh enclosure and add a jungle gym type structure inside the cage. When I built my stand out of...

    Pothos support beam...

I just hung my pothos plants by using a sturdy rod that went across a corner of the cage. Then I hung my pothos magically by a 30lbs fishing line. This way you won;'t have to damage your mesh on the enclosure. Or you can put a bar across the top so you can place the pothos plant in the middle...

    My cham has big balls

No problem! The second picture you attached does make him seem like he's a bit on the BIGGER side. My chams just had a smooth bulge after their vent. Your's seems like it's way bigger than normal. Is he acting any differently than usual? Do you ever see any sperm plugs laying around his...
