    Eye Gunk/booger

Hey, Sorry for the late reply but I wanted to give an update on my big boy Cash. His eye has been great since the day I cleaned it and have had no issues since. I was advised it could have been a few things but no issues since is a very good thing. It could have been an actual bite near the...

    Eye Gunk/booger

His lights are off now, I'll check it and get a better pic in the morning. I wonder if I can get the drops/ointment without having to take him with me. My reasoning is I live in eastern Canada and its some cold here this week.

Hey Gang, Today I noticed my 1 year old Cham was hanging out most the day on the side of his enclosure he doesn't seem to chill in alot (opposite side of basking area). When I went to check on him I noticed he had an eye crusty (no other way to rly explain it) really bad. Basically like a...

    Arcadia T5 6% 54w bulb.

Hey guys, I wanted to ask this to see what ppl think and to gather any advice. I recently bought a 46" Arcadia T5 6% 54w bulb and fixture. My enclosure is 4ft wide by 3 ft high and 20" thick. I got the bulb and installed it on the very top and after about 7 days I noticed my cham got very...

Usually active cham not very active.. too much UVB?

Do u have it run the width of ur enclosure? What I may do is run it away from.my cham for 7-10 days to break the bulb in and reduce its "new bulb" strength. Does ur cham also have places to get away from it?

Usually active cham not very active.. too much UVB?

That is the exact bulb I have Pjk, The Arcadia T5HO 6% 54 watt. Its 46" long and was running along the back of my enclosure on the outside above the screen.

I'm happy to report that after changing the lights back on saturday (basking light on one side, UVB 5.0 on the other side with another small reg bulb for heat) Cash has got back to his old self. He voluntarily wants to come out and play plus he's also feasting on his suppers and horns! Thank...

O.k so prob just a smaller uvb halogen on the right side so he can go to the left to get out if it would be a better setup. His basking area is prob 6-8" from the basking light. he was very active until the light upgrade so I'm assuming that is the cause.

This is the enclosure. The pic doesnt show the uvb dome on the right side as it wasnt there at the time of pic.

I'm at work now but will asap. Its a cabinet like enclosure made of wood with 2 large screen doors and the top is all screen as well. Basking light above basking area on right side and UVB light dome on right side. I did have the arcadia run the entire enclosure along a back side shining down.
