That's quite a change from the topic at hand here.
I'm now more into breeding geckos than chams. And after reading through this post again I would like to offer some further thoughts. While I'm not really a BUSINESS or REPTILE STORE at the moment I am selling geckos online and thought about...
Yes .... I've been thinking about a vet visit.
However I've been keeping Veileds for several years now and haven't had many problems until recently. I hatched out 27 babies about 1-1/2 years ago which all survived and the male that I now have is one of those babies. I've had no deaths (...
It's been about a week since she laid the eggs. I put some pieces of grape in the enclosures yesterday which the male eagerly accepted but there is only one piece missing from the female's enclosure.
I tried silkworms but she doesn't seem interested in those either however it looks as if...
I have a male and female veiled chameleon. The male is approx. 1-1/2 yrs. old and the female is 2-1/2 yrs old. They are both housed separately in 175 gal. flexariums. They get dusted crickets with occasional butterworms or silkworms and sometimes fruit.
The female has been rather large for...
Thanks! However I've only had this cham for about 2-1/2 years. He was much livelier when I first got him. LOL. I just want him to be as comfortable as possible for his remaining time in my care.

I have a male Veiled that's approx. 7-8 yrs. old. I keep thinking that he isn't going to last much longer but he keeps surprising me.
I don't see him eat crix very often and he will usually only take silk/butter/horn worms from a nearby branch or my hand. His tongue doesn't come out very...
Yes .... I did end up getting a pair of them but they didn't last long. I have a thread here ..... https://www.chameleonforums.com/new-pygmy-chameleons-10663/ ... however I can't seem to edit my old posts to fix the pics.
The female only lived for about a month and the male for several...
Hey Gang,
Sorry I haven't been around for a while I've been too busy breeding geckos!! LOL However I thought I'd update you with a pic of the male that I kept ( previous post ) taken in Dec. 2008.
My how he's grown and coloured up. And man is he full of ATTITUDE !! LOL...
Well one of my female Veileds laid about 40 or so eggs the other day. I haven't had her with a male for quite some time. The eggs are very small and when I shine a light through them they are a clear amber colour.
So I'm assuming that these eggs are all infertile however she only laid...
I found this interesting link on various incubation mediums. However I think it is an advertisement for their product but is still fairly informative.

I think I will try some of the SuperHatch for my next incubation!!

Hi Angie,
Well that is an extremely large poop and the orange part sounds a bit odd. It sounds like she had some kind of blockage going on. Perhaps some of the POOP experts will have some good advice.
Chameleons generally need a tall enclosure for climbing with at least a 60W or higher...
OK ... I already know that this isn't advisable but let me explain the situation. I currently have 2 adult female veileds that could likely use larger enclosures. I also have a male and female juvenile chameleon. And I recently purchased a 100 gallon flexarium.
I would like to put the...
Well it certainly seems like you've done your research. There are many people that are trying to keep chameleons that aren't as knowledgeable. GREAT JOB !!
While I'm not very experienced with the POOPING issue there are a couple of other concerns that I'm rather surprised nobody...
