A big indicator if your cham is hydrated or not is his urates (found connected to/a part of his poop). If the urate is orange he is dehydrated. If not (its a creamy white or just white) he should be fine! Another thing is you don't see your cham drink much anyways so the a way to tell is the urates!

He should be fine, unless this behavior continues. When you move stuff around in your chameleons cage, chameleons will usually get curious and act like that when things change. Give him time to settle in and get comfortable with the changes and he should be fine! Everything should be fine unless...
