You would honestly think, that with as much care as required to own a chameleon, that sellers would only sell them off to companies who can take care of them until they are bought.
But all those high profit companies trying to make money just throw them wherever they can. >.>
So, today I visited my local petsmart for some cat related items. And I noticed in the reptile department, a male veiled chameleon. And im glad I noticed him!
This, "cage" as the called it, was more of a glass box! Roughly 1.5 feet wide, about 11/12 inches tall, and has a depth of about 10...
There is a technique called gut loading, you can feed your cham's food the veggies/fruits you want it to eat, and when your chameleon eats them, it will get those nutrients.
I've been working out a schedule off of suggestions I have seen around the net, and the best cleaning schedule I can think of would be on Monday, and on Thursday.
Cool, thanks for all the advice so far. I've never come across a thermometer that records the highs and lows, i'll definately have to get a couple of those :)
As far as the handling goes, is there a definate sign that says "Hey, leave me alone right now, I don't want to leave my cage." Or is it...
