Hey all!!!
Been a little while since I was on here, been a busy month! Anywho, just thought Id share a shot of Picasso my rescue male ambilobe that some of you may remember me posting about about a month ago.
He's doing fantastic! all the bumps on his body have shed off and the ones on...
hmmm
I remember reading the book (actually the whole series of um) a couple years back and was wondering how the movie was gonna turn out, thanks for posting, I'm a TOTAL nerd so definitely gonna see this one:D
Hey, great thread! This was really helpful and I actually have a question about the cham I've been rehabbings' poop.
You had mentioned about when there's undigested bugs in the poop. This is a pic of what his poops usually look like (this isn't a whole poop, just a piece I found to take a pic...
Well, here's a pic of me holding Takini, any thoughts? His nails are quite long and yellowed as well and when I look into his eyes I swear they have that "aged" look. He seems to move a bit slower than normal chams move and is a bit "stiff" too, actually reminds me a lot of an elderly male...
It's been a hard road but I think my little guy is finally over the "hump". He's well into his fist full shed since I brought him home, most of the body sores have disappeared and the bigger ones on his face have scabbed completely over.
He's even begun (very slowly:) to loose a little...
So when I was cleaning my female leopard geckos container the other day I couldn't help but think to myself "wow, that's a big urate..."
As soon as I went to pick it up was pleasantly surprised to find it definitely wasn't a giant urate but a big fat egg!
Reason I was so surprised is I've...
Hey all!
So, i'm starting to suspect my little rescue male, Takini, is a bit older then the kid I got him from had told me.
Supposedly he's only 2 years old but I swear when I look at him moving around and whatnot I can't help but feel like I'm looking at an old man.
Is there anyway to...
Love gaboons!!!
Gaboons are BY FAR my favorite snake out there and was actually lucky enough to see a BIG adult female this past weekend at hamburg that someone was selling. I know it's always been a big controversy but I've always wanted a venomiod gaboon to keep as a display in a really nice...

I've been thinking about the old days of reptile shows lately and was just wondering what everyones favorite reptile was to go see at the old shows?
I remember as a kid always being SUPER excited to see the big gaboon vipers and adult cobras. They scared the crap out of me but I was...
Texas Ranger...
Hey!
I appreciate the comments and it's always good to hear from both sides of a good debate but I think you might not have caught the actual point I was trying to make. Lemme try n clarify.
My very first pet snake was a ball python, a female named Lucy who I had for over...
Wow!
That article was fascinating! Thanks so much for posting it, I really enjoyed reading that! Mother nature truly is an amazing machine.
As far as the economic crisis mentioned, if these animals were being bred like this as a sole result of people driven to the point of poverty, although...
Horrified....
I was just trolling the ball forum site and came across a thread from someone asking about what kinds of morph defects there are. This is one of the responses...
Yes, they are weird deformations, but I don't think they impact the snakes ability to be a snake. And I don't think...
